Revolution Event Production is seeking a Technical Director to lead the technical execution of live events from load-in through strike. You will oversee onsite crews, coordinate audio, video, lighting, staging, and production systems, and ensure safety and quality on every project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite technical crews throughout setup, show execution, and strike.
  • Direct the installation and operation of audio, video, lighting, staging, and production systems.
  • Review project plans and prepare crews for successful execution.
  • Coordinate with Production Managers, Warehouse Operations, vendors, and venue teams.
  • Troubleshoot technical and operational challenges while maintaining a positive client experience.
  • Maintain safe working practices and professional job sites.
  • Protect and properly utilize company equipment and resources.
  • Represent Revolution with professionalism on every project

About the Role

As Technical Director, you'll lead the technical execution of live events from load-in through strike. Working closely with our Production Managers, you'll oversee onsite crews, coordinate technical systems, solve problems in real time, and ensure every event is delivered safely, efficiently, and to Revolution's standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical side of production and the responsibility of leading people.

Qualifications
Required
  • Experience leading live event productions or technical crews.
  • Strong understanding of professional audio, video, lighting, and staging systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead teams in fast-paced production environments.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the United States.
  • Ability to safely lift and move production equipment.
Preferred
  • Experience in corporate events, experiential marketing, or touring productions.
  • ETCP, OSHA, CDL, forklift, or other industry certifications.
  • Experience with networking, media servers, or advanced production technologies.
