Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC in New York seeks a Technical Designer to drive technical documentation from concept to production. You will develop accurate tech packs, manage BOMs, and collaborate across Design, Development, and Production to ensure quality, fit, and construction.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in garment construction and grading, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to partner with vendors and internal teams to meet timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field.
• 3–5 years of Technical Design experience in apparel.
• Experience with women's apparel; outerwear/activewear preferred.
• Proficient in Illustrator and CAD software.
• Strong attention to detail with measurement accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed tech packs with sketches, measurements, grading, construction, and specs.
• Create and manage BOMs, packaging, care labels, carton markings, UPCs, and related docs.
• Conduct fit sessions using live models and communicate revisions clearly.
• Review prototypes and pre-production garments with pattern makers and manufacturing partners.
• Ensure samples meet standards for fit, quality, construction, and design intent.
