Pink Rose Clothing is seeking a talented Technical Designer with a focus on junior apparel. The role involves developing technical packages, reviewing patterns, and preparing garments for fittings, in a fast-paced fashion environment in New York.

The ideal candidate will collaborate across Design, Production, and Sales, possess fabric knowledge for knits and wovens, and demonstrate strong time management and problem-solving skills to meet seasonal deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in fashion industry with junior apparel focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical packages.
• Understand and correct paper patterns and grading rules.
• Measure and prepare garments for fitting sessions.
• Knowledge of fabrics for sweaters, as well as content and weight of fabrics for woven and knits.
• Participate in fit sessions with the designer and production team to achieve the desired aesthetic.
• Communicate fit and balance corrections to relevant parties.
• Create grading rules for production items and develop proto-tech packs as needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment.
• Document comprehensive notes, including photographs, during fittings, and relay all fit details to both the vendor and buyer.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Production, and Sales teams.
