Responsibilities

• Develop technical packages.
• Understand and correct paper patterns and grading rules.
• Measure and prepare garments for fitting sessions.
• Knowledge of fabrics for sweaters, as well as content and weight of fabrics for woven and knits.
• Participate in fit sessions with the designer and production team to achieve the desired aesthetic.
• Communicate fit and balance corrections to relevant parties.
• Create grading rules for production items and develop proto-tech packs as needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment.
• Document comprehensive notes, including photographs, during fittings, and relay all fit details to both the vendor and buyer.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Production, and Sales teams.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Technical Designer.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the fashion industry, with a focus on junior apparel, and a strong ability to collaborate across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop technical packages.
• Understand and correct paper patterns and grading rules.
• Measure and prepare garments for all fitting sessions.
• Possess knowledge of spec, yarns, gauze, and weight for sweaters, as well as content and weight of fabrics for woven and knits.
• Participate in fit sessions, collaborating with the designer and production team to achieve the desired aesthetic.
• Communicate fit and balance corrections to relevant parties.
• Take detailed notes, including pictures, at fittings and convey all fit components to vendors and buyers.
• Create grading rules for production items and develop proto-tech packs as needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment.
• Document comprehensive notes, including photographs, during fittings, and relay all fit details to both the vendor and buyer.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Production, and Sales teams.
