Job summary

One Hat One Hand is seeking a skilled Technical Designer to join our multidisciplinary team in person. You will develop constructible 3D design concepts, produce accurate technical drawing sets, and collaborate across design, production, and external consultants to move projects from concept to fabrication.

You will generate CNC-ready files, coordinate material sourcing, and support presentation decks while maintaining tight deadlines and clear communication with clients and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Produce precise technical drawing sets for clients, engineers, and fabrication teams
• Collaborate with internal production, finishing, and metal departments throughout the project lifecycle
• Generate documentation for coordination with external consultants including structural and MEP engineers, and for permitting processes
• Create cut files and CNC-ready documents for internal fabrication and external vendors
• Answer key questions and problem solve with the fabrication team
• Support presentation efforts through design decks and visual storytelling
• Participate in project planning meetings and stakeholder communication
• Coordinate material sourcing and ensure fabrication teams have everything needed
• Keep expense reports up to date and track purchases against project estimates
