Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a Technical Designer to execute the technical design process from development to final fit in a fast-paced retail environment. You will analyze garments to develop precise fit specifications and ensure alignment with cost and manufacturing capabilities.

The role typically reports to Technical Services Manager and may supervise junior designers. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical design, a Fashion degree or equivalent experience, and strong communication with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical design.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience.
• Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.

Responsibilities

• Execute the technical design process from development to final fit.
• Analyze and evaluate garments to develop correct fit specifications.
• Ensure products meet established fit quality, manufacturer capabilities and cost specs.
• Develop technical specifications and communicate fit to vendors/factories for approvals/corrections.
• Adjust with factories to preserve design integrity of prototypes and monitor quality and price.

Job Description:

• Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit.
• Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications.
• Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications.
• Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.
• Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.
• Typically reports to Technical Services Manager.
• Typically directs Assistant or Associate Technical Designers.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience in technical design.
