Job summary

Adecco Creative is partnering with a luxury fashion house to recruit for a Contract - Technical Designer role. The position requires 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, operating as an indefinite contract.

The successful candidate will leverage expertise in Technical Design across development, fittings, and pre-production, ensuring alignment from concept to production while collaborating with factories and global design teams to elevate quality and design integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience as a technical designer in apparel development.
• Strong eye for proportion and design aesthetic.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with fittings and pre-production timelines.

Responsibilities

• Communicate development and fit specifications from concept to pre-production approval.
• Create development tech packs for launches with draping and mock-ups to achieve Designer’s aesthetic.
• Master garment construction, patternmaking, global sizing, and industrialization.
• Manage fittings and the pre-production process within timelines and action plans.
• Support factory technical teams with continuous improvement.
• Lead development and standardization of techniques to elevate quality.
• Oversee quality and risk management with RM partners to mitigate risks early.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional and global partners.
• Maintain a highly solution-oriented approach.

Overview

Adecco Creative is partnering with a luxury fashion house to recruit for a Contract - Technical Designer role. This position will be 4 days onsite, 1 day remote and is an indefinite contract.

Responsibilities

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Technical Design to:

• Communicate development and fit specifications from initial concept to the pre-production approval.
• Create development tech packs for direct launches with draping’s and mock-ups to achieve Designer’s aesthetic as required.
• Has mastery in garment construction, patternmaking, global sizing, and industrialization.
• Manage fittings and the pre-production process ensuring all approvals are within the timeline and action plan.
• Support and collaborate with factory technical teams with the concept of continuous improvement.
• Lead research, development, and the standardization of techniques to support Design and elevate quality.
• Quality and Risk Management on a seasonal basis working closely with RM partners to mitigate product risk at an early stage in development process.
• Establish strong relationships with cross functional and global partners.
• Highly solution oriented.

Qualifications

• Good eye for proportion and design aesthetic. Attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
• Proficiency in Web PDM, PLM, Illustrator and Outlook, pattern making, sewing, garment construction and engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills.
