Job summary

Dreamwear Inc New York, New York, United States is a leading wholesale intimate apparel and sleepwear company collaborating with iconic brands. We are expanding with Cosabella and Hanky Panky and seek a Technical Designer to support the increased volume and ensure precise fit across multiple categories.

The Technical Design team handles fit, creates tech packs, schedules fittings, and works with factories to achieve the desired look and construction.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of prior experience in technical design.
• Degree in pattern making and technical design preferred.
• Self-starter with ability to lead and function independently.
• Great attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Team player with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, strong communication skills and necessary follow through

Responsibilities

• Lead fittings on live models and convey fit comments and construction comments to factories independently.
• Prioritize and manage sample tracking and fit approvals from first fit through TOP, making sure all deadlines are met.
• Create initial specs based off a sketch and/or samples from Design Team and update technical packs for multiple product categories.
• Collaborate with designers and product development on product design to provide technical expertise on specs and construction.
• Independently track and prioritize sample flow
• Check and approve pre-production samples independently
• Spec out fit garments in all categories.

We are entering an exciting period of growth with the addition of two renowned luxury sleepwear brands to our portfolio: Cosabella and Hanky Panky. We need to bring on a Technical Designer to assist with the new volume.

Our Technical Design team is responsible for everything related to the fit of our garments. They create tech packs, schedule fittings, and work with the factories to ensure the desired look of fit is achieved . The Technical Designer will lead the fits, manage the factory partners and mentor the more junior members of the team. The ideal candidate will be passionate, self-motivated, eager to learn and able to execute these essential responsibilities:

• Lead fittings on live models and convey fit comments and construction comments to factories independently.
