Job summary

Retrofête, a New York‑based label famed for vintage‑inspired glamour, seeks an assistant for fittings and production support. You will help prepare for fittings, track samples, and log them into the system to keep development moving on time.

A background in tech design or fashion design is preferred. Knowledge of garment construction and pattern making, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite, are essential in a fast‑paced, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Preferably tech design major; fashion design also acceptable.
• Knowledge of womenswear and/or menswear garment construction and pattern making.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing for and assisting in the fittings.
• Tracking the samples and logging them into the system.
• Garment spec'ing efficiently and accurately.
• Facilitating timely sample, fabric and trim approvals to support on‑time deliveries.
• Updating tech packs for production.
• Communicating daily with overseas factories to follow up and problem solve.
• Running errands to garment district as needed.

• Preparing for and Assisting in the fittings
• Tracking the samples and logging them into the system
• Garment spec'ing efficiently and accurately

• Updating tech packs for production
• Communicating daily with overseas factories to follow up, answer questions and problem solve

Requirements:

• Preferably Tech design major, Fashion Design major is also good

• Daily rate depends on the experience
