Job summary

SSI People is seeking a Technical Design professional to support fast-paced, real-time product and process work across Washington sites, focusing on drafting, design changes, and production support in a demanding aerospace environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, design, stress, quality and manufacturing teams; require 9+ years in aerospace design, CATIA experience, and IVT proficiency; on-site in Renton, WA.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and relevant drafting experience.
• Basic CAD usage and understanding of product structures.
• Knowledge of machining of metallic parts.
• 9+ years of aerospace design experience including detail and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Support product and process solutions by applying drafting principles in a real-time fabrication environment.
• Create drafted parts and product structures and update models based on engineering input.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, stress, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Produce specifications and documents to manage deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.

Job Title: Technical Design
Location: Renton, Washington (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are representing a company seeking a Technical Design professional to support fast-paced, real-time product and process work across multiple Washington sites. This Technical Design opportunity offers the chance to contribute to design changes, production support, and cross-functional problem-solving within a collaborative environment.
Candidates can work from the following available locations:Portland (Oregon), Renton, Everett, Auburn, and Frederickson (Washington).
Responsibilities

• Support product and process solutions by applying fundamental drafting principles and design concept understanding in a real-time fabrication environment.
• Create drafted parts and product structures and make model definition changes based on engineering input.
• Collaborate with engineering, Design, Stress, Quality, Manufacturing, and supplier teams to address materials and process challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
• Produce requirements, specifications, and related documents that help manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.

Required

• Associate degree and typical experience in drafting classification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic understanding and usage of computer aided design.
• Basic understanding of product structure, including details, parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Understanding of machining of metallic parts.
• 9+ years of experience working with aerospace design, including detail and assembly parts.
• CATIA or equivalent solid modeling experience, and Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT) use and experience.
