Job description

Creating Peace of Mind by Pioneering Safety and Security At Allegion, we help keep the people you know and love safe and secure where they live, work and visit. With more than 40 brands, 14,000+ employees globally and products sold in 130 countries, we specialize in security around the doorway and beyond. Additionally, Allegion is proud to be recognized with the 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) for the third consecutive year, earning distinction in both the employee engagement and strengths categories. This year, Allegion also received Gallup’s With Distinction honor — a designation reserved for a select group of organizations that go above and beyond in building exceptional workplace cultures.

The Technical Delivery Lead drives delivery of complex technical solutions for Allegion's Order Management product teams. This role connects engineering execution, Agile delivery, and technical program management. The person in this role owns delivery from requirements through release, stays close enough to the technical work to guide and unblock the team, partners with product owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders, and helps ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and with strong quality. The role also serves as a servant leader for Agile teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement across the delivery lifecycle.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

Hybrid Work

At Allegion, we’re driven by a bold vision: redefining safety while empowering our employees to thrive. This role follows our hybrid work model—combining in-person collaboration for meaningful moments with the flexibility of remote work. Because hybrid arrangements can vary by team and business needs, your talent acquisition partner will share the specific expectations for this role. While this is the current structure and we currently have no plans to change, we reserve the right to make changes to the hybrid schedule as needed at the Company’s discretion.

What You Will Do
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of technical solutions, from requirements through release, across one or more IT product teams.
  • Champion AI‑native ways of working by helping teams use AI tools responsibly in daily engineering workflows, including AI‑assisted code review, automated testing, documentation support, and sprint planning.
  • Encourage a culture where AI improves quality, speed, and learning while maintaining appropriate human judgment and accountability.
  • Partner with product owners, team leads, and business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and refine the product backlog.
  • Lead Scrum ceremonies and champion Agile best practices as the team’s Scrum Master.
  • Coordinate across IT teams and delivery partners to align on scope, dependencies, and technical approach for cross‑team initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements and user stories for the development team.
  • Track delivery progress, risks, and issues; proactively resolve blockers and escalative when needed.
  • Oversee test planning and execution to ensure features meet quality and functional expectations prior to release.
  • Manage release activities, documentation, and approvals; coordinate production deployments outside business hours as needed.
  • Provide production support oversight, including triage and coordination of support tickets.
  • Report on delivery status, metrics, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Act as a technical escalation point, unblocking engineers on complex technical or architectural problems.
  • Champion continuous improvement in delivery practices, tooling, and team ways of working.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in technical delivery or as a Scrum Master/technical project manager.
  • A strong ability to drive delivery of robust, high‑scale systems and to challenge engineers to think bigger and more generically in developing their solutions.
  • Experience in Agile software delivery, including backlog management and sprint planning.
  • Self‑motivated, independent, and proactive, with outstanding communication skills; able to effectively communicate complex ideas and make compelling arguments across business and technical audiences.
  • Experience coordinating release management and production support processes.
  • Excellent cross‑functional influencer, comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with frequent context switching; experienced coaching and mentoring team members and leading through influence within and across teams to maintain alignment and shared consciousness.
  • Demonstrated ability to scope, schedule, and resource multiple complex projects in collaboration with other cross‑functional partners.
Preferred (Nice to have)
  • Experience with QA/testing practices (test case design, defect tracking).
  • Familiarity with test automation tools.
  • Experience using SQL and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) to track delivery metrics.
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance documentation.
  • PMP, CSM, or other relevant Agile/delivery certification.
