Position Overview

The Technical Customer Training and Test Engineer plays a pivotal role in delivering technical expertise and field support for PVA systems and automated dispensing products. Covering the entire product lifecycle—from pre-shipment testing and configuration to installation support, troubleshooting, upgrades, and end-of-life decommissioning—this role is essential for optimizing customer outcomes and system performance. This position is the technical face of PVA and a key driver of customer satisfaction, retention, and product value. Ensuring customers achieve consistent uptime and optimal performance directly contributes to PVA’s revenue growth, brand reputation, and profitability.

Job Details
  • Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm / 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday (1st shift)
  • Starting pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Location: Onsite in Halfmoon, NY
  • Training period included; duration depends on experience; travel may be required
Responsibilities
  • Prepare equipment for in-person or virtual product demonstrations (runoff).
  • Ensure equipment functions according to customer expectations prior to visits or virtual demos.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system integration issues to meet customer needs.
  • Deliver hands-on operator and maintenance training tailored to customer requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance on system operation, maintenance, and performance optimization.
  • Address unexpected issues with prompt solutions.
  • Build long-term customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback for service and product improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to provide insights and suggest product enhancements.
  • Assist customers with process improvements and optimization.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.
