We are seeking a Technical Customer Service Representative to work remotely from a home office for the EXL Premium Audit Division.

This entry to intermediate level position requires excellent customer service skills, handling disputes and re-openings for large national customers.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Answer the Customer Service phone line, manage calls appropriately, and document progress notes.
  • Notify the Current Auditor or Branch Manager regarding specific items.
  • Escalate issues and complete audits at the insured’s request.
  • Perform Premium Audits for Property & Casualty commercial insurance policies, including Workers’ Compensation and General Liability.
  • Work directly with policyholders via phone to obtain payroll and accounting information, applying correct classifications and exposure amounts.
  • Communicate with agents, brokers, and carriers as needed.
  • Manage escalated inventory to meet customer service and quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • Effective diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accepted accounting and bookkeeping practices.
  • Strong organization and time management skills, capable of handling urgent tasks.
  • Customer service-oriented, with experience working with the public via phone and email.
  • Strong computer and typing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret information accurately.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in commercial lines (Property & Casualty) insurance.
