Technical Consulting Engineer – Data Center Switching

You are able to provide level 3 technical support for Cisco Nexus Switching products

You can analyze, configure, and troubleshoot layer-2 / layer-3 Data Center networks

You are to build moderate-to-complex lab setups to duplicate and resolve customer problems

You can develop and deliver technical training’s partners and other HTTS & TAC teams

You are able to work with software engineering to improve product quality by filing software defects and testing fixes

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or 5+ years related experience

You have working knowledge of layer 2 / layer 3 protocols and technologies, including: VPC, Fabric Path, Routing Protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP, IS-IS), Multicast, Spanning Tree, OTV, QoS, Etherchannel, SPAN / RSPAN

You have experience troubleshooting network or application performance issues

You have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Desired Skills

Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus Switches (Nexus 9000, 7000, 6000, 5000, 3000)

Hands on experience using network sniffers and troubleshooting tools such as traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent, Colasoft),

Customer Support experience is helpful

Cisco Certifications: CCIE, CCNP
