Groundswell is seeking entry-level Technical Consultants to help federal clients solve challenging problems using technology. This full-time, on-site role is based at our McLean, VA headquarters and offers hands-on work with modern solutions.

You will work with clients and implementation teams to translate business requirements into technical applications, participate in requirement gathering and demonstrations, and grow your skills with tuition reimbursement and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Translate client requirements into technical solutions (approx 75% development, 25% business strategy).
• Participate in requirements gathering and user story creation.
• Demonstrate solutions to clients during implementation.
• Assist with testing and documentation of applications.
• Identify and remediate issues and risks early with clients.

What You'll do

Groundswell is looking for entry-level Technical Consultants interested in using technology to solve challenging business problems and deliver impactful solutions for our federal clients.

This position is full time, on site in our Mclean, VA headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients and implementation teams to evaluate business requirements then quickly translating that information into technical solutions (approx: 75% building technical applications and 25% business strategy)
• Participate in requirements gathering and user story creation
• Provide solution demonstrations to clients throughout the project implementation
• Work with your project team to implement, test, and document functionality of applications
• Working with clients to identify and remediate issues and technical risks early

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related area
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology
• Experience with database development (through classwork or professional work)
• Interest and dedication to learning new skills, professional growth and delivering strong results to clients
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required federal security clearance
• Must be local to the Washington DC Metro area or willing to relocate

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$85,000.00 - $90,000.00
