Learn more about our .**Key Responsibilities*** Develops, aligns and implements commodity strategies.* Negotiates and manages the maintenance of agreements with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.* Engages with the PLC process to ensure alignment with the commodity strategies.* Directs new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base.* Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time, which may include engagement with sub-tiers in the supply chain.* Develops and presents high level cost reduction opportunities.* Approves/final authority, delivers and manages Supplier Performance Improvement Plans.* Drives formal supplier performance reviews.**Functional Knowledge*** Regarded as the technical expert in their particular field.* Demonstrates in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function.**Business Expertise*** Anticipates business and regulatory issues; recommends product, process or service improvements.**Leadership*** Leads projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution.**Problem Solving*** Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions**Impact*** Impacts the direction and resource allocation for program, project or services; works within general functional policies and industry guidelines.**Interpersonal Skills*** Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view.**Additional Information****Time Type:**Full time**Employee Type:**Assignee / Regular**Travel:**Yes, 20% of the Time**Relocation Eligible:**YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
