Technical Cleaning Team Lead
As the Technical Cleaning Team Lead, you will oversee cleaning staff, assign tasks, ensure proper execution, and maintain safety standards. You will give morning “Tool Box” Talks, lay out the daily plan and milestone goals, ensure all PPE is worn and in good condition, and confirm each team member is in Salute branded attire. You will discuss potential hazards or concerns of the work—electrical panels, racks, buttons, screens—and the proper way to move around and work on them. This is done daily and is part of the QC walk.
Responsibilities and Required Skills
- Team Supervision: Keep track of attendance and report daily on issues for tracking and pattern recognition.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct inspections to maintain cleanliness standards and address any issues.
- Observe individuals for a few minutes at a time to assess cleaning technique.
- Do site walks with client for sign off when work is completed, upload to Teams for record keeping.
- Supply Management:
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Complete and fill out daily inventory checklist form, upload to Teams folder.
- Check condition of all equipment and note any issues for replacement.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure cleaning procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
- Confirm site paperwork (JHA, PTP, etc.) is completed before work begins; upload to Teams folder.
- Replace faulty or damaged equipment.
- Ensure all team members wear required PPE and it is in good condition.
- Train team on any new safety protocols.
- Lift Usage & Inspection:
- Ensure only certified team members operate lifts.
- Conduct pre‑operation inspections, checking for leaks, damaged guardrails, tire integrity, emergency stop function, harness and fall protection equipment.
- Document lift inspections daily and upload forms to Teams folder.
- Confirm lift usage aligns with manufacturer guidelines and site‑specific safety requirements.
- Place proper barricades or cones when lifts are in use.
- Report and remove any malfunctioning lift immediately.
- Training & Development:
- Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices.
- Help new hires complete training before starting on site.
- Keep all team members up to date on new training.
- Communicate attempts of new processes and results, and report issues with training completion.
- Use observations to improve techniques; document corrective steps.
- Give praise for good observation and document discussion.
- Scheduling & Coordination:
- Plan work shifts and coordinate tasks to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure timecards are completed daily before leaving site.
- Track site schedule from customers.
- Provide information to PM via email.
- Communicate any changes to completion date, turnover, sign‑off, and new dates via email.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment.
- Ability to stand for long periods in various work environments.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks.
- Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly.
- Ability to differentiate between color‑coded warning signs, labels, and cables.
- Ability to work in environments with a wide variety of temperatures inside a facility.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow.
- Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection.

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure
The base salary range for this role is $23.00 per hour. This range reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health resources, discounted group life & AD&D, discounted group short & long‑term disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. Final compensation will be determined by job‑related factors consistent with applicable law.
