Job summary

Selux Corporation, based in the Hudson Valley, NY, is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Specialist to join our inside sales team. You will develop precise 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for interior, exterior, and custom lighting projects, and prepare submittals and documentation.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to ensure designs meet customer requirements, maintain CAD libraries, and support project coordination from initial request to final

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, Design, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent professional experience in CAD design, drafting, engineering, or technical applications will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings, layouts, submittals, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for interior, exterior, and custom projects, including shipping documentation.
• Review customer requests and design changes, assess technical feasibility, revise existing drawings, and resolve potential design conflicts.
• Handle multiple projects and drawing assignments, setting priorities and coordinating deliverables to meet project schedules and deadlines.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to develop practical solutions for standard, non-standard, and custom projects, providing technical and drawing support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain CAD libraries, standard product drawings, models, and technical documentation while performing quality reviews to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and consistent with company standards.
• Support team workload planning and remote collaboration while maintaining current knowledge of company products, engineering standards, drafting practices, and departmental procedures.

Selux Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Specialistto join our inside sales team. This position combines technical drafting, CAD design, project coordination, and customer-focused problem solving. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working withAutoCAD and SolidWorks, interpreting architectural and electrical drawings, and developing accurate technical documentation for interior, exterior, and custom lighting applications. You will work across Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to turn project requirements into clear, practical design solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys projects, solving design challenges, and seeing projects progress from an initial customer request to completed documentation.

Salary range:$52,000 - $70,000/yr

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree inEngineering, Architecture, Drafting, Design, or a related fieldpreferred.
• Equivalent professional experience in CAD design, drafting, engineering, or technical applications will also be considered.

• Strong hands-on experience withAutoCAD and SolidWorks.

• Mechanical drafting or product design experience preferred.

• Architectural drafting or experience working with construction documentation is beneficial.

• Ability to interpretarchitectural plans, reflected ceiling plans, electrical drawings, and construction documents.

• Understanding of how lighting products and fixtures interact with architectural and building environments is highly desirable.

• Previous experience inarchitectural lighting, commercial lighting, lighting fixtures, or related building productsis a plus.
