Amazon.com Services LLC - A57 is seeking a leader to build and drive an enterprise risk program from the ground up. You will assess, quantify, and reduce risk exposure across operations, compliance, legal, and third-party relationships, acting as an internal risk consultant for field teams at scale.
You will establish baselines, own risk metrics, and deliver data-driven insights to leadership while mentoring junior analysts and expanding risk frameworks to empower teams to manage risk
Do you thrive on turning ambiguity into clarity? In this role, you will build and lead an enterprise risk program from the ground up - assessing, quantifying, and reducing organizational risk exposure across operations, compliance, legal, and third-party relationships. You will serve as an internal risk consultancy, driving accountability and equipping field teams with the frameworks and tools they need to manage risk independently at scale.
You will partner with leaders across the organization to evaluate risk posture, deliver data-driven insights, and recommend corrective actions that protect the business. One day you may be conducting a targeted audit of vendor contract compliance; the next, you may be designing a self-assessment toolkit that enables field teams to identify and mitigate risks on their own. You will regularly brief leadership on risk trends, escalation triggers, and resolution progress - translating complex findings into clear business impact. You will also mentor analysts, shape assessment methodology, and collaborate cross-functionally to pilot new risk enablement frameworks.
This team operates at the intersection of risk management, compliance, and operational strategy. The team's vision is to create a culture where risk is visible, quantified, and owned at every level - not concentrated in a single function. You will work alongside cross-functional partners in operations, legal, finance, and third-party management to build scalable solutions that raise the bar on how the organization identifies and responds to risk.
