State Street Corporation is seeking a junior Technical Business Analyst to work with a skilled team of BAs on the Fund Connect infrastructure and related data architectures. You will analyze trading workflows for asset management and liquidity products and collaborate with product, tech and business teams to document requirements and GUI definitions.

The role demands a strong technical background, attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

• 2+ years of technical business analysis experience in financial services
• Experience with electronic trading platforms (Mutual Fund, FX, Fixed Income)

• Conduct front-to-back analysis of trading and settlement workflows for asset management and liquidity products
• Produce high-quality technical documentation including requirements, diagrams, GUI definitions and screen mock-ups
• Contribute to database design input (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Create and manage documentation such as development schedules, release plans, bug tracking and user manuals
• Assist in design and testing of new functionality and GUIs
• Work autonomously in a fast-moving, complex technical environment
• Build strong relationships across cross-functional groups of varying seniority

We are seeking a junior Technical Business Analyst to collaborate with a stellar team of BA’s developing the product through its next phase of growth. This role focuses on technical analysis and documentation to support the Product Management team in designing new functionality and features. With a strong technical background, the successful candidate will be able to show a successful track‑record of delivering solutions where attention to detail and intellectual. This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

• Develop a deep understanding of existing Fund Connect infrastructure, data‑models and database architecture.
• Conduct detailed front-to-back analysis of trading & settlement workflows for asset management & liquidity products.
• Deliver high-quality, detailed technical documentation business requirements in conjunction with product, technical & business teams including workflow diagrams, GUI definition and screen mock-ups.
• Provide input into database technical design (Oracle, SQL server)
• Create and manage administration of documentation including product development schedules, release schedules, bug tracking and user manuals.
• Contribute to the design & testing of new functionality and GUI’s.
• Work autonomously with confidence in a fast-moving, complex technical environment.
• Build solid relationships with colleagues across multiple functional groups of differing levels of seniority.

What we value

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical business analysis and/or product in a financial services environment
• Relevant experience with electronic trading platforms in the Mutual Fund, FX and/or Fixed Income space
• Highly self‑motivated with exceptional integrity
• Willingness to learn and eagerness to collaborate as part of a larger team.
• Confident & clear communicator
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to any audience.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Technically competent with the ability to code in Python, VBA and SQL
• Power user of Excel
• Messaging familiarity with FIX, REST API, SFTP, JSON, XML, SWIFT FIN/MX

Salary Range

$65,000 - $113,750 Annual The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
