Job Title: Technical Business Analyst – PSA Team
Location: Remote (U.S. based only)
Duration: 12-month contract-to-hire
Pay Rate: $60–$70/hour W2

Overview
We are hiring a Technical Business Analyst to join the Pest Services (PSA) team at Ecolab. This role supports mobile iOS applications used by our pest field technicians across North America. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical aptitude, experience working with APIs and data flows, and a collaborative mindset to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for developers and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
- Collaborate directly with developers, QA engineers, and architects to design scalable backend solutions
- Support data mapping, API documentation, and system integration efforts
- Validate system behavior by querying databases, reviewing logs, or interpreting API responses
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, standups) and maintain technical artifacts in Jira/Confluence
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with field service workflows and strategic objectives
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with strong technical exposure
- Experience supporting backend system workflows, enterprise applications, or mobile infrastructure
- Ability to read/write basic SQL queries for data validation
- Strong understanding of APIs, data mapping, and system integration principles
- Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Strong communication skills, especially in translating business needs to technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting mobile applications or field service platforms
- Exposure to tools such as Postman, Swagger, or other API testing/documentation platforms
- Familiarity with DevOps, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), or ETL/data transformation processes
- Experience working in a large enterprise or field-based service environment
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher required
