We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst to join a leading fundraising team. The ideal candidate will bring 3-6 years of professional business analysis experience within asset management or a related industry, and will play a pivotal role in optimizing business processes and supporting data-driven decision-making for the firm's fundraising activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to gather business requirements, analyze processes, and identify opportunities for operational improvement
- Provide advanced Excel support, including complex formulas (SUMIFs, VLOOKUP, Index/Match), pivot tables, data validation, and reporting automation
- Administer and maintain Salesforce records for fundraising and investor relations, performing data cleansing, dashboard/report building, and process automation
- Bridge communications between fundraising, investor relations, and technology teams to ensure accurate data capture, process alignment, and enhanced workflow efficiency
- Analyze fundraising pipelines, performance metrics, and investor engagement data to support business strategy
- Assist in designing and documenting investment management processes, including capital raising, client onboarding, and investor reporting
- Generate ad hoc and recurring analytical reports to support senior stakeholders in fundraising initiatives
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide end-user training as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3-6 years of relevant business analyst experience, preferably within asset management, private equity, alternatives, or related investment sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including SUMIFs, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, data modeling, and charting tools)
- Hands-on, practical experience with Salesforce administration, including report and dashboard creation, user management, and basic automation
- Strong understanding of fundraising processes within investment management, and the data flows that support investor relations and capital raising
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Salesforce (Administrator, Advanced Administrator) highly desirable
- Exposure to other BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) a plus
- Experience supporting or working directly with fundraising or investor relations teams
