Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Market Risk Business Analyst to support the Market Risk Technology team in Jersey City/NYC. The role focuses on understanding data governance, data flows and transformations, with responsibilities spanning data remediation projects and upstream data sourcing.

The ideal candidate has strong data analysis skills, experience in Risk Technology, and a solid grasp of SQL, Python and Tableau for reporting and validation.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Program/Project Manager delivering significant technical work.
• Experience in data related and regulatory projects, Global Markets or Risk Technology.
• Ability to communicate with technical, business and quantitative model partners and stakeholders.
• Experience synthesizing complex data into actionable analysis and presentations.
• Experience with agile and JIRA.

Market Risk BA

18 Month W2 Contract

Jersey City, NJ or NYC

$65-$68/hour

As a Market Risk Business Analyst, candidate will be supporting Market Risk Technology team in:

• Understanding of the important items that govern/ cover data that we consume/ create in market risk
• Comfortable understanding detailed data flows, lineage requirements, transformations. Testing , audit and compliance documentation required etc
• Manage a portfolio of projects remediating data issues in our ecosystem.
• This may be include sourcing new data from an upstream system and make a change or sourcing data and map it to other fields in our system.
• Understand how do users test the change, we need to demonstrate how data changes or does not change through the flow.
• Need to be comfortable with a granular understanding as the project plan and creation of reporting across business and technology.
• Query data skills is a plus.?

Required Qualifications

Prior experience as a Program/Project Manager working on significant technical delivery. Prior experience in data related and regulatory projects, Global Markets or Risk Technology, knowledge of Market Risk concepts. Ability to communicate effectively with technical, business and quantitative model partners and stakeholders. Experience in synthesizing complex data into actionable analysis and presentations to non technical partners. Prior experience of agile and JIRA. Strong critical thinking and decision making skills.

Desired Qualifications

Project management tools expertise. Prior experience working in Risk technology, Global Markets Technology, or risk management
