The Opportunity

ADB Safegate Americas is seeking a highly skilled Technical Bid and Proposal Manager to support our gates, apron, and weather business units in delivering innovative Airside 4.0 solutions. This position is pivotal to streamlining the bidding process, ensuring alignment with customer specifications, maximizing competitiveness, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to produce high-quality proposals that reflect ADB Safegate's leadership in cutting-edge airport software solutions. The Technical Bid and Proposal Manager can be located remotely anywhere in the continential US, but must be willing to travel to Columbus, Ohio as needed.

You will make an impact by....

  • Bid Development and Proposal Management

    • Centralize ownership of the bidding process, ensuring proposals align with customer requirements, timelines, and regulatory standards.
    • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, legal, and finance) to deliver technically sound and competitive proposals.
    • Develop detailed commercial and technical proposals for gates, apron, and weather systems, tailored to the unique needs of North American customers.


  • Craft cost-effective, compelling, and high-quality proposals designed to outperform competitors while maintaining profitability.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of the airport infrastructure and technology market, including Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, safety, and sustainability trends, to shape winning bids.
  • Collaboration Across Business Units

    • Maintain close communication with Product Managers and Program Management teams from gates, apron, and weather divisions to ensure proposal consistency and technical feasibility.
    • Partner with sales teams to provide robust pre-contract guidance and technical expertise, ensuring seamless transitions from proposal to signed contracts.


  • Risk Mitigation and Compliance

    • Identify contractual risks and manage bid-related contingencies to safeguard the company's interests.
    • Ensure compliance with industry-specific standards, regulations, and customer expectations.
    • Implement transparent documentation practices to reduce errors and protect ADB Safegate's reputation.


  • Customer-Centric Approach

    • Develop client-focused solutions that address customer pain points and deliver exceptional value in gates, apron, and weather systems.
    • Focus on measurable improvements in proposal delivery timelines and win rates while building long-term customer relationships.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in bid management, technical sales, proposal development, or a related role in airport infrastructure or technology industries.
  • Strong technical proficiency

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive and customer-centric proposals.
