Job summary

Newell Brands in Kentucky is seeking a manufacturing technician to calibrate and perform color changes, troubleshoot color issues, and perform mold changes as part of our plastics operations. You will replace and repair parts, assist technicians, and maintain department housekeeping while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

The role requires physical capability to handle lifting up to 50 pounds, basic reading skills, and eventual Lift Truck and Lock Out/Tag Out training.

Qualifications

• Must follow all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE.
• Prefer minimum of general mechanical knowledge/ experience.
• Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach and lift 50 pounds without assistance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Perform all functions according to procedure to include following all safety precautions.
• Prefer minimum of general mechanical knowledge/ experience.
• Must successfully complete and pass a Technical Battery of tests.
• Possess good reading skills.
• Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach and lift 50 pounds without assistance.
• Communicates well with others.
• Must become Lift Truck certified in reasonable amount of time.
• Must successfully complete the Lock Out/ Tag Out training within reasonable amount of time.
