Our Pittsburgh Construction Management Team is seeking a Technical Assistant primarily for PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike projects. The role involves applying standard inspection procedures during and after construction to ensure structural quality, safety, and compliance with plans, specifications, and codes. This position is not eligible for employer sponsorship except for TN visa classification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications, and construction methods for compliance and safety.
  • Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
  • Measure dimensions, and verify levels, alignments, and elevations to ensure adherence to plans and codes.
  • Maintain record documents and prepare field notes and computations.

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Must pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.
Required Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (experience may be substituted).

Preferred Experience

  • Client-requested certifications.
