Job summary

McKesson seeks an experienced solution architect to design end-to-end architectures for vendor incentives, contracts, chargebacks, rebates, and related commercial processes. You will partner with business and technology stakeholders to define current-state challenges, future-state capabilities, business cases, and transformation roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 4+ years of relevant professional experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or similar.
• Experience with vendor incentives, customer incentives, contracts, chargebacks, rebates, pricing, finance, or commercial operations.
• Experience designing architecture for enterprise business applications.
• Experience creating business cases with value drivers, cost/benefit analysis, risks, and implementations.
• Experience leading large-scale transformation across business and tech teams.
• Strong ability to create architecture artifacts and stakeholder materials.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architecture for vendor incentives, customer incentives, contracts, chargebacks, rebates, and related processes.
• Partner with business and tech stakeholders to define challenges, future-state capabilities, business cases, and roadmaps.
• Lead architecture work for large-scale transformation initiatives, including design, integration planning, governance, and support.
• Translate requirements into scalable designs across SAP Vistex V4, SAP S/4HANA, SAP SD/FI, cloud platforms, data, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Evaluate options and recommend approaches balancing value, risk, cost, usability, compliance, and speed.
• Create architecture artifacts, decision materials, process flows, reference models, and executive-ready recommendations.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, operations, vendors, and EA teams to drive adoption and measurable impact.
• Identify risks and change impacts; support issue resolution and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Translate business requirements into scalable solution designs across SAP Vistex V4, SAP S/4HANA, SAP SD/FI, cloud platforms, data, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Evaluate technology options, vendor solutions, and process improvements; recommend approaches that balance value, risk, cost, usability, compliance, and speed to delivery.
• Create clear architecture artifacts, decision materials, process flows, reference models, and executive-ready recommendations.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, operations, vendors, and enterprise architecture teams to drive adoption and measurable business impact.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and change impacts; support issue resolution and continuous improvement across solution delivery.

Basic Requirements

• Typically requires 4+ years of relevant professional experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, business process transformation, SAP solution delivery, data architecture, or closely related roles.
• Experience with vendor incentives, customer incentives, contracts, chargebacks, rebates, pricing, finance, or commercial operations processes.
• Experience designing or delivering solution architecture for enterprise business applications.
• Experience building or contributing to business cases, including value drivers, cost / benefit analysis, process impacts, risks, and implementation recommendations.
• Experience leading or supporting large-scale transformation initiatives across business and technology teams.
• Experience creating architecture artifacts, process documentation, future-state designs, and stakeholder-facing decision materials.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience with SAP Vistex V4, including incentives, contracts, chargebacks, rebates, or claims-related capabilities.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration with SAP SD and SAP FI.
• Consulting experience in business process improvement, enterprise transformation, solution strategy, or operating model design.
• Experience with AI-enabled business process optimization, automation, analytics, or decision-support capabilities.
• Experience with cloud technologies, integration patterns, data platforms, APIs, and enterprise security considerations.
• Experience in healthcare, distribution, life sciences, retail, manufacturing, or other complex, regulated environments.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and communicate complex concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience working with external partners, system integrators, software vendors, or managed service providers.
