Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Lead Architect, FP&A to shape enterprise-scale finance technology solutions that support planning, analytics, and operational excellence. You will lead solution architecture across FP&A processes, SAP platforms, and integrations with business, technology, and delivery teams.

You will drive secure, scalable designs and translate complex needs into implementable FP&A solutions, including SAP SAC, S/4HANA, BPC, Datasphere, PaPM, and FI/CO integrations.

McKesson is seeking a Lead Architect, FP&A to help shape enterprise-scale finance technology solutions that support business transformation, planning, analytics, and operational excellence. In this role, you will lead solution architecture across FP&A processes, SAP finance platforms, and related integrations while partnering with business, technology, security, and delivery teams.

You will bring strong analytical judgment, a consulting mindset, and experience building business cases that connect technology decisions to measurable business outcomes. This role is ideal for a senior architect who can translate complex business needs into scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP PaPM, BPC and FI/CO integrations.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise FP&A solutions utilizing SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BPC, SAP PaPM, and related SAP technologies.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Business stakeholders to define future-state planning, forecasting, budgeting, profitability, and management reporting processes.
• Develop and maintain solution architectures that integrate SAC, PaPM, SAP Datasphere, BW/4HANA, SAP and Non SAP ERPs including S/4HANA, and other Analytics environments to create a streamlined financial planning ecosystem.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Finance business teams and Technology organizations to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead implementation and optimization of driver-based planning, rolling forecasts, workforce planning, profitability analysis, and scenario modeling capabilities.
• Design and govern financial data models, hierarchies, dimensions, business rules, calculations, allocations, and workflow configurations.
• Drive migration and modernization initiatives from legacy planning solutions toward SAP Analytics Cloud and next-generation finance platforms.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, and ERP teams to ensure high-quality data integration, availability, accuracy, and governance.
• Establish and maintain best practices for FP&A solution design, master data management, security, performance optimization, and change management.
• Support financial close, forecast, planning, and management reporting processes by delivering scalable and automated solutions.
• Evaluate emerging SAP technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve planning and analytics capabilities.
• Lead testing, deployment, user adoption, training, and support activities associated with FP&A transformation initiatives.
• Mentor junior analysts and developers while providing technical leadership across project teams.
• Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, finance systems, technology consulting, or related technology delivery roles.
• Experience with FP&A processes and finance technology platforms.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, profitability, and financial planning processes.
• Experience participating in large-scale finance transformation or ERP modernization initiative
• Solution architecture experience supporting enterprise-scale systems or complex business transformation programs.
• Experience creating or evaluating business cases, including costs, benefits, risks, dependencies, and implementation options.
• Experience leading large transformation initiatives across business and technology teams.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (Planning).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP BPC, SAP Datasphere, SAP PaPM and SAP FI/CO integrations.
• Experience communicating architecture decisions, trade-offs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with data architecture, APIs, integration patterns, cloud platforms, analytics, and modern delivery practices.
• Strong collaboration, strategic decision-making, analytical thinking, and executive storytelling skills.
• Ability to mentor architects and delivery teams while influencing roadmap alignment and adoption.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Consulting experience in business process transformation, technology strategy, finance transformation, or enterprise architecture.
• Experience in regulated, large-scale, or complex enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with architecture governance, enterprise standards, security-by-design, operational readiness, and risk mitigation.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
