As a Thunder Technical Architect (TA), you’ll design and deliver cutting-edge Salesforce solutions and contribute to pre-sales efforts by showcasing how our solutions solve real-world business challenges.
Thunder’s TA leads and collaborates with our customers' technology and business stakeholders to develop a scalable Salesforce architecture, vision, and strategy that enables business outcomes. You will be responsible for the technical design of integrations and development, technology selection, and development methodology. The ideal TA will have a proven track record in pre-sales, technical consulting, and Salesforce architecture.
You serve as a technical leader for customer engagements, translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences while inspiring trust in the Salesforce platform. Thunder TAs are problem-solvers who work closely with teammates and our customers’ teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Support: Partner with the sales team to present Salesforce solutions to prospects, conduct technical discovery sessions, and build trust with potential clients.
- Solution Design: Translate business needs into scalable Salesforce architectures aligned with customer goals.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate mastery in system design, Salesforce development (Apex, Flows, Lightning Components), and API integration. Oversee development to ensure client expectations are met, proper testing is conducted, and performance is monitored.
- Leadership: Mentor development teams, enforce best practices, and define coding and documentation standards at Thunder.
- Collaboration: Work with sales, project management, and technical teams to deliver a seamless customer experience from pre-sales through delivery. Coordinate with offshore/nearshore resources for code reviews and design decisions.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current on Salesforce products and capabilities. Demonstrate thought leadership through blog writing, public speaking, and client presentations.
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years’ technical or consulting experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, specifically as an architect, solution engineer, IT consultant, or developer in a customer-facing role providing differentiated software technology solutions
- Key areas of expertise we’re looking for: Agentforce, Service Cloud, Mulesoft, RCA, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, AWS/Amazon Connect, etc.
- 2+ years’ experience as a Technical Architect, supporting in a Pre-Sales capacity
- Expert in custom and managed-package API integrations (RESTful + SOAP)
- Expertise in data modeling and complex data migrations
- Active Salesforce certifications with willingness to pursue additional certifications on emerging technologies
- Required: Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, and at least 2-3 of the following Certifications (strongly recommended):
- Platform Developer I
- Platform Developer II
- Sharing and Visibility Architect
