Technical Application & Proposal Specialist

Join to apply for the Technical Application & Proposal Specialist role at ABB.

This position reports to the Sales Support Manager.

In this role, you will develop technical and commercial proposals for Power Protection products and solutions, primarily for opportunities in North America and US-based cross-pole transactions. A strong understanding of ABB’s Power Protection offerings is essential.

The work model is remote (Li-Remote), with preferred locations in Richmond, VA, and Dallas, TX.

This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division, supporting energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial plants, and infrastructure.

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For

• Developing timely, comprehensive proposals with key metrics such as proposal volume, on-time delivery, hit-rate/win-rate, and profitability.
• Interpreting drawings, data sheets, and specifications to understand design intent.
• Maintaining relationships and negotiating with key vendor partners and internal factories.
• Collaborating with sales and strategic customers to understand opportunities and develop executable proposals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in engineering preferred, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in contract negotiation or sales.

5+ years of project quotation experience and electrical distribution industry experience preferred.

Must have valid work authorization for the US.

Salary Range

Expected between $79,800 and $148,200 annually.
