Job Description

This Technical Analyst IV position is for the lead support of the FIS Savings/Time application and secondary on the FIS IMPACS application. A data subject expert for Savings/Time, responsible for delivering superior services acting as a liaison between the line of business and IT with a focus on end user experience such as user interfacing, user flow, data flow, and/or other UI/UX strategies. Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry-wide business process and analysis practices and organizational policies and procedures. Defining and performing analysis, design, programming, planning, implementation, and supporting of some of the most critical systems software and procedures with a focus on our long term technology road map which require technical and systems knowledge. The Technical Analyst manages plans, organizes, and controls projects which have an organizational impact as well as provides day-to-day support for complex applications systems.

How You'll Spend Your Time

* You will support the FIS Savings/Time and IMPACS applications. Providing SME services in answering questions, running data extracts, researching and solving production issues.
* You will write business requirements including data retention specs, report definition, and data security requirements for complex projects.
* You will manage Requests for Information (RFI) / Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
* You will contribute to the technology strategy and employ Information Technology Governance policies, architecture methodologies, and SOA Governance policies. You will define and conduct research which you will leverage for the development of multi-year technology roadmaps. In this position you will identify technology gaps and present recommendations for remediation and act as project consultant across team's project portfolio.
* You will design and execute Disaster Recovery processes.
* You will prioritize lines of business and/or Executive Funding Committee (EFC) projects and enhancement requests. This includes, creating business cases, participating in setting the strategy and vision for the line of business, and annual planning and estimating.
* You will develop and maintain critical vendor relationships.
* Mentors other analysts by providing oversight of projects or day to day support efforts.
* You will have advanced technical understanding of single application data flows across multiple applications, software and system integrations, RDBMS principles, tiered environments, Cloud environments, and well developed project management skills.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of (a/an) Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field of study and / or 5-7 years of directly related experience in Technical Analysis, Data Analytics, or Bank Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience. Along with extensive experience supporting the FIS Savings/Time application.

  • Advanced Technical understanding of:
    • Single application data flows across multiple applications
    • Software integration, system integration, and technology used
    • RDBMS principles and tools
    • Tiered environments (e.g. development, testing, UAT, production, DR)
    • Application disaster recovery
    • Leveraging knowledge of Cloud environments
    • SQL Queries
    • IT and IS standards and concepts
    • Banking and payments industry and processes
    • Conducting fit gap analysis
  • Solid conceptual thinking and analytical skills
  • Well-developed Project Management Skills
  • Solid Collaborative skills
