This role is part of the Biodiversity Credit Alliance (BCA) Secretariat, a multi-stakeholder initiative aiming to develop a credible and scalable biodiversity credit market.

Job purpose: This Technical Analyst role supports the Biodiversity Credit Alliance (BCA) Secretariat in advancing technical discussions and ensuring high-quality outputs for the emerging biodiversity credit market. The purpose is to contribute to the integrity and credibility of this market by facilitating working groups, coordinating technical development, and supporting the creation of guidance and tools. They will contribute to market integrity by supporting the screening of credit schemes, refining High-Level Principles (HLPs) and assessment frameworks, and developing technical guidance and tools for demand enablement. The role involves establishing and coordinating working groups, facilitating consultations, and producing technical reports and issue papers. Additionally, the analyst will provide technical inputs for country support and capacity building, support the development of the Nature Market Accelerator (NMA) with integrity oversight, and foster technical collaboration and outreach to promote high-integrity biodiversity credits.

Education: An advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Environmental Science/Management or a related field is required. Fluency in English is also required.
