My client is the EPCM contractor for the largest lithium mine in the United States. Once complete, the mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States by far, enough to power 1 million electric vehicles per year. As the EPCM contractor this client is responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team of contractors engineering and building the facility. Earth work began in 2023 and design and procurement of long-lead equipment is underway. The project is located in the high desert I hour northwest of Winnemucca.
The client is seeking a Technical Analyst for the Mining & Metals team, based in Winnemucca, Nevada. The purpose of this role is to collect, study and analyze project and GBU ES&H data, to assist in the development and implementation of improvement efforts to support various ES&H functions in the areas of incident prevention, learning and development, Craft Based Leadership (CBL) and Six Sigma. Duties require accuracy, judgment, initiative, and understanding of relevant ES&H processes, automation tools and associated supporting computer software.
The role is 100% based on site, the schedule is 3 weeks on a 1 week off. It will be a 57 hour work week with overtime paid after the first 40 hours. A per diem is provided as well as mobilization, demobilization and trips home covered.
Requires a Bachelor’s (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
