Job description

Role Description

We are actively hiring new a Technical Analyst/Associate to join our team to focus on the following responsibilities:

Sourcing
  • Conducting market analysis and opportunity identification via academic research, customer interviews, conferences, incubator and University demo days, and peers (Angels/VCs).
  • Proactively developing relationships with identified early stage (Seed, Series A, and B) and growth/late stage (Series C+) companies that align to our investment theses and scope in B2B Tech.
Diligence and Investment Execution
  • Support technical diligence in B2B tech that the team is evaluating for investment, including architecture review, vendor/API relationships, product roadmap, and technical integration/implementation requirements.
  • Support the team’s market mapping, initial screening and subsequent deep due diligence of potential investments.
  • Support development of diligence materials and Investment Memo/Scorecard to assess market sizing, talent assessment, product‑market fit, product/Tech IP quality, key metrics/financials, capital structure, valuation modeling and exit scenarios, risks, and other aspects of Fin’s diligence frameworks.
Portfolio Company Operating Support
  • Support portfolio companies around product/technical strategy, talent sourcing, business development, regional market and global expansion and support for future financing.
  • Help gather and manage portfolio performance, metrics, and financials on a Quarterly basis.
  • Support capital raising for the portfolio company follow‑on financings.
Software Development
  • Select/integrate and develop tools/software to support firm’s data‑driven investing & portfolio management.
  • Continue to iterate on and maintain firm’s proprietary software Lighthouse, in coordination with our Head of AI.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • 2-4 years of software development experience (ideally at a Deep Tech or FinTech company) and/or web app development experience (PHP, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, Python, Nginx, Docker, etc.).
  • Excitement to join and help scale a specialist private markets platform focused on FinTech and DeepTech (AI, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and Quantum).
  • Alignment with Fin’s values in working in collaborative teams, high integrity, merit‑driven and no ego/entitlement.
  • B.S. in related fields, Masters a plus.
  • Foreign language fluency in Spanish or Japanese a plus
