Job summary

Boarhog LLC in San Diego, CA is seeking an Engineering Technical Writer to support the U.S. Navy's PIPM and IPMs by developing and maintaining technical documentation for multiple integration programs.

The role requires Top Secret with SCI eligibility and a TS/SCI clearance. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a Documentation Management Plan, coordinating reviews, editing documents for clarity, and ensuring version control.

Qualifications

• Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field of study.
• Three plus (3+) years of relevant work experience.
• Security Clearance: Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).

Responsibilities

Job description

Engineering Technical Writer

Supports the U.S. Navy's Principal Integration Program Manager (PIPM) and Integration Program Managers (IPMs) to develop and maintain technical documentation for multiple integration projects/programs. Work to be performed at NAVWAR Old Town classified space, and therefore the position requires a Top Secret with SCI eligibility. Please do not apply if you do not hold a TS clearance.

Principal Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Documentation Management Plan
• Coordinate regular review and update program documentation
• Content Management of program policy and requirements documents across multiple progams
• Edit engineering and acquisition documents and briefings to produce clear and concise material
• Validate documentation and briefing content to ensure accuracy and version control
• Manage Quality Assurance reviews of developed documents and briefings
• Manage review feedback of documents across multiple projects, capturing revisions and suggestions for future development
• Coordinate leadership review and approval of documentation and briefings
• Actively participate in technical and programmatic meetings to provide status and define technical documentation development requirements and milestones

• Creation of technical documentation in Aerospace and Defense (for DoD)

Familiar with

• Agile Development fundamentals, structure and procedure of agile ceremony meetings
• Working knowledge of US Navy and Department of Defense terminology and acronyms
• Military exposure and experience, particularly with military technical documentation writing and formatting standards, guidelines, and verbiage
