Job description

Position Summary (Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

CHM Grand Rapids campus. Prosection Assistants follow dissection protocols provided by faculty of the Division of Human Anatomy to produce prosections of human cadavers for use as teaching specimens in the Gross Anatomy Laboratory. Prosection Assistants are also expected to assist the site staff mortician with duties related to care of human cadavers and/or tissue specimens.

Desired Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have completed college coursework in human or comparative anatomy and have six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible work in prosection and/or dissection of human anatomical specimens.
