Job summary

MSU - Michigan State University seeks an On-Call Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in delivering patient-centered pharmaceutical care. This is a temporary or on-call position; must hold a valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician license and national certification, with about one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Approximately 1 year of pharmacy experience is preferred.

Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

The On-Call pharmacy technician will support pharmacists in delivery of pharmaceutical care of patients through receiving, billing, and preparing prescriptions for pharmacist review; provide patient assistance at the point of sale; and perform other technical functions to support pharmacy operations.

Desired Qualifications

Current Pharmacy Technician license int the State of Michigan and current nantional pharmacy technician certification. 1 year experience.
