Job Description

The law firm of Oblon, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt LLP (“Oblon”) is seeking Patent Agents or Technical Advisors with experience in patent application drafting and prosecution to join its Electrical practice.

Requirements include:

• Minimum of 2 years' patent application drafting experience in a law firm setting.
• Technical degree in electrical or computer engineering, with emphasis on semiconductors.
• Preferred: experience with software and AI technologies, Master’s or Doctorate in relevant fields, industry experience.
• Superior technical knowledge, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Drafting patent applications.
• Analyzing and preparing replies to office actions.
• Invention and disclosure meetings/calls with clients.
• Prosecuting patent applications.
