The AppScan Technical Advisor role focuses on increasing license, subscription, support, and services revenue within HCL Software. Responsibilities include meeting customer requirements with software solutions, conducting product demos, workshops, PoCs, and collaborating with sales teams to shape and close opportunities. This pre-sales, customer-facing role involves a solution-based approach to identifying, progressing, and closing software and professional services opportunities, working closely with sales, product management, professional services, development, support, and client advocacy teams.

Experience:

Candidates should have 5+ years of technical experience and a strong willingness to work in enterprise software pre-sales. A 4-year university degree is typically required.

Responsibilities & Core KPIs:

• Progress opportunities by informing customers of best practices and shaping decisions
• Lead technical responses to customer RF(x)s for AppScan
• Conduct AppScan demos, PoCs, workshops, and enablement activities
• Become a technical expert in all facets of AppScan
• Assist sales in presenting Professional Services
• Create technical collateral for sales use
• Collaborate across teams to drive results
• Develop technical skills and learn new products and industry trends
• Leverage relationships via social platforms to expand customer contacts and product awareness

Desired Technical Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of Application Security Testing technologies (DAST, SAST, SCA, IaC, IAST, RASP, CSPM, API Sec, etc.)
• Familiarity with modern development languages (e.g., .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, C/C++)
• Experience with scripting languages
• Experience with Application Security products (AppScan, Snyk, Checkmarx, etc.)
• Understanding of developer and DevOps methodologies and ecosystems
