Incendia Partners, headquartered in Richmond, seeks a Technical Accounting Manager to lead technical accounting, SEC and financial reporting, and accounting research while enabling strategic financial analysis and process improvements.

The role offers a base salary of $120-$135K plus 12% annual bonus and 13-17% annual profit sharing, for total compensation up to $175K, with a hybrid schedule and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 6+ years in public accounting, SEC reporting, consolidations, or technical accounting.
• Experience with SEC filings and US GAAP.

Responsabilités

• Lead research of complex accounting issues and develop technical accounting analyses and conclusions.
• Prepare and maintain SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures.
• Prepare accounting memos, technical analyses, and audit-ready documentation.
• Assess and support the adoption of new accounting standards and regulatory guidance.
• Support SOX compliance, disclosure controls, and the financial reporting control environment.
• Partner with finance, legal, business leaders, and external auditors on complex transactions.
• Drive improvements to financial reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting.

This is a corporate accounting position focused on leading technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, and accounting research, while supporting strategic financial analysis and process improvements.

Compensation: Base salary of $120-$135K plus 12% annual bonus and 13-17% annual profit sharing, for total compensation of up to $175K.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA strongly preferred
• 6+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, consolidations, technical accounting, or a combination of these areas
• Experience preparing, reviewing, or significantly contributing to SEC filings
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Experience with SOX compliance, disclosure controls, or internal controls over financial reporting
• Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and analyses for complex accounting matters
