Our client, a growing global manufacturing company, is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join their corporate finance team. This hybrid position is located in mid-Michigan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical accounting research and prepare memos on complex topics (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, M&A, debt).
  • Monitor and implement new accounting standards.
  • Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Manage annual financial and 401(k) audits, statutory filings, and relationships with external auditors and service providers.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure compliance with accounting policies and support financial reporting needs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within reporting and compliance functions.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting/finance.
  • Background in public accounting is required.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and US GAAP expertise.
  • Experience with international statutory reporting is highly preferred.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 annually, plus benefits.
