Technical Accounting Business Partner Manager

About the Role

This role operates within the Corporate Controllership team (CFA) and is pivotal to our corporate finance and accounting division. You will collaborate with finance, accounting, and business leadership to drive strategic initiatives, provide expert advice on new ventures, transaction structuring, and product development. Your responsibilities will include setting and evaluating accounting policies, interpreting guidance, and leading the implementation of new accounting standards to ensure compliance. You will also serve as a technical accounting expert impacting the company’s financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and assess the impact of new US GAAP, JFSA, and Statutory accounting changes.
• Prepare technical documentation, collaborate with auditors, and oversee impairment analyses for goodwill and intangible assets.
• Manage projects related to new initiatives, accounting guidance, and transactions, including due diligence for M&A activities.
• Educate teams on new accounting standards and promote ongoing professional development.
• Maintain technical accounting policies and support the Corporate Insurance Program.
• Participate in industry discussions and prepare company responses.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification required.
• Remote work eligible, with occasional travel.
