Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) for its National Security enterprise support team. The TAM will serve as the strategic technical advisor and voice of the customer to National Security customers, helping them adopt and grow use of AWS services across compute, storage, database, ML, AI, networking, and more. The role is not a sales position but focuses on technical guidance, risk management, and solution design.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with national security customers to craft and execute adoption strategies for AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, SageMaker, ECS/EKS, GuardDuty, Systems Manager, and CodePipeline.
• Represent AWS in customer environments and lead discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade‑offs, support, and risk management.
• Advise on architecture, security, and best practices; maintain customer environments operationally healthy.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with customers to understand business and technical challenges.
• Travel up to 10% of the time as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or comparable security or cloud certification (CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP, etc.).
• At least 2 years of technical engineering experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience communicating with executive and senior audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems and recommend solutions across teams and data sources.
• Experience leading technical initiatives in internal enterprise or external customer environments.
• Experience developing in distributed systems and operating 24/7 services.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services or other cloud platforms.
• Expertise in AWS Well‑Architected Framework pillars and applying them to existing or new architectures.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $131,300.00 – $177,600.00 USD annually, with additional sign‑on payments and restricted stock units. AWS offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and various insurance options, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
