Job description

Overview

Technical Program Manager 5 – Studio Production Engineering at Netflix. Full-time, United States. Negotiable compensation.

Netflix’s Content & Business Products (CBP) teams build products and services that optimize and automate the entire content creation lifecycle, from concept and financial planning to global launch and promotion. The Studio Production Engineering team powers Netflix’s content journey from pitch to post, delivering infrastructure, media management, and workflow solutions to support production and post-production processes, data-informed decision-making, and new workflows including Generative AI.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple complex, cross-functional technical programs focused on foundational studio infrastructure, including hardware provisioning (workstations, render nodes), cloud tenant setup (compute, storage, network), and large-scale data migration initiatives.
  • Provide deep domain expertise to form technical strategies for migrating and modernizing studio production environments, including large datasets across storage and cloud solutions.
  • Drive and manage the technical integration of third-party creative and infrastructure software onto Netflix's platforms.
  • Scope and lead Generative AI/ML initiatives, identify high-value use cases, and productionize new AI platform capabilities (e.g., access to advanced LLM APIs).
  • Decompose requirements into technical execution plans with milestones, manage scope and schedule, handle cross-functional dependencies, and proactively address risks, including Day 1 readiness for complex integrations.
  • Communicate progress clearly to stakeholders and leadership, translating technical challenges into business implications.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of technical program management experience.
  • Domain experience in Studio Technology Infrastructure, Media Production Pipelines, or Generative AI/ML platform delivery.
  • Preference for experience with large-scale data migration, cloud infrastructure (AWS, CoreWeave, GCP), and high-performance computing/rendering environments.
  • Proven experience driving large-scale software and infrastructure projects, defining technical strategies, and building scalable solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI/ML applications to creative and production workflows.
  • Ability to orchestrate multiple programs with cross-functional teams and identify gaps in solutions, weighing product vs. technology tradeoffs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate business impact and technical constraints to diverse audiences.
  • Self-starter who tackles 0-to-1 problem spaces and brings organization and direction.
  • Demonstrates Netflix values and culture.
