Join to apply for the TECH601: Azure Administrator role at JerseySTEM.

This is a pro-bono volunteer position. JerseySTEM is seeking talented professionals to commit 3-4 hours/week for a long-term engagement (6 months) to support our mission of providing STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.

We are looking for a skilled Azure Administrator to join our Operational Excellence (OPEX) team. Responsibilities include managing our web hosting infrastructure, WordPress sites, SFTP, MS SQL databases, and Gitlab hosting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure technologies, especially Azure Identity, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Active Directory, and related services.

• Manage and optimize web hosting services for high availability and performance.
• Administer and troubleshoot WordPress sites, implementing improvements as needed.
• Support SFTP configurations and secure file transfer protocols.
• Manage configuration and access for Gitlab hosting, MS SQL, and WordPress.
• Implement and maintain Azure Identity solutions for secure authentication and authorization.
• Utilize Microsoft Entra ID for user provisioning and access management.
• Ensure seamless user management through Azure Active Directory.
• Understand cloud computing services, including networking, storage, databases, security, servers, and software.
• Proven experience as an Azure Administrator or similar role.
• Knowledge of web hosting technologies, WordPress, SFTP, MS SQL, and Gitlab.
• Expertise in Azure services, particularly Azure Identity and Azure Active Directory.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID and its integration within Azure environments.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Azure certifications or ongoing pursuit is a plus.

Weekly team meetings are scheduled on Sundays at 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM EST, including Scrum meetings.
