Job summary

Carlyle seeks a Principal/MD, Value Creation – Technology to lead technology value creation across its US Buyout portfolio. You will translate investment theses into actionable roadmaps, driving modernization, cloud migration, and platform consolidation across multiple portfolio companies.

The role requires deep technology leadership, strong stakeholder influence, and a track record of implementing scalable, repeatable playbooks and partnerships within a PE setting. Travel is moderate.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in technology value creation across portfolio companies.
• Experience leading large-scale technology transformation programs.
• Ability to design operating models and vendor management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with portfolio management, deal teams, and GPS peers to build technology roadmaps.
• Advise on architecture, modernization, cloud migration, and platform consolidation.
• Evaluate technology spend to drive profitability and optimize labor, software, hardware, and services.
• Lead technology leadership events and foster cross-portfolio knowledge sharing.
• Engage with portfolio CIOs/CTOs/CPOs at the highest level to prioritize investments.
