The Marketing Tech Alliance's goal is to enable HelloFresh to drive smarter marketing through data, automation, and optimization. We're responsible for measuring customer value along multiple time scales to enable budget steering, discount (incentive) optimization, and customer decision optimization. Our team works on a variety of technologies ranging from high throughput, real-time communications systems to deep statistical libraries to large-scale machine learning training pipelines.

We are hiring a Staff Data Scientist in the Global AI department to help build innovative Machine Learning products within the marketing domain at HelloFresh. As a Staff Data Scientist, you will leverage your machine learning skillset to enhance our value forecasting capabilities and contribute to the development of cutting-edge machine learning solutions for HelloFresh's marketing technology.

You will …

• Lead impactful value forecasting projects by defining scope, guiding execution, and collaborating with data scientists and engineers to significantly improve HelloFresh's efficiency.
• Shape the technical direction across multiple teams by providing leadership, coaching, and establishing data science best practices.
• ‘Lead by example’ by rapidly prototyping complex machine learning solutions in the domains of lifetime value predictions, pricing optimization, GenAI, and more
• Drive strategic initiatives by leveraging customer understanding to develop impactful ML product proposals, ensuring successful adoption and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Innovate and advance the field by staying current with ML/AI developments and actively contributing to the community through conferences and outreach.
• Establish and evangelize best practices for Data Science across the organization

You have…

• PhD / MSc in a quantitative discipline. Strong record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals or presentations at recognized conferences preferred.
• A proven history of applying rigorous statistical methodologies and modeling techniques to address complex business challenges.
• Expert level ability to solve machine learning problems with modern machine learning software stack (Python, Tensorflow, Pytorch, Spark, PyMC) as well as modern machine learning algorithm stack (Transformers, Graph Neural Networks, boosted decision trees, reinforcement learning, GenAI, statistical inference)
• Deep understanding of experimental design and causal inference principles.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate intricate analytical findings to diverse audiences, including technical experts and senior leadership.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in guiding data science projects and mentoring junior team members.
• Experience in managing stakeholder expectations, and aligning data science initiatives with business goals.
• Proficiency in cloud-based model infrastructure and big data environments

New York Pay Range

$179,200—$238,900 USD

Colorado Pay Range

$167,500—$223,300 USD
