Job summary

The University of Delaware is offering a Technology Transfer Internship in Fall 2026 at the FinTech Innovation Hub on STAR Campus in Newark, DE. This student position focuses on business development and marketing for university tech transfer, with a 10-hour weekly commitment.

Interns will conduct market research, build lead lists, run email campaigns, and create LinkedIn content to showcase UD technologies to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Background in marketing or related business discipline with genuine interest in IP commercialization.
• Self-starter who works independently and follows through.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assess the competitive landscape for UD technologies and IP.
• Build and qualify contact lists of target companies.
• Partner with the Technical Writing Intern to understand background and industry impact.
• Incorporate feedback from TTO case managers and inventors to improve outreach materials.
• Run email marketing campaigns to spark interest in learning more about specific technologies.
• Draft LinkedIn content that makes new technologies compelling to a non-technical audience.
• Take on special outreach projects from case managers as they arise.
