Job summary

J T is seeking a mid-level Technology Transactions Associate to join its practice in San Francisco/Silicon Valley or Seattle. The role focuses on IT, IP, and technology transactions across diverse industries, handling drafting, negotiating, and analysis of complex agreements and providing research support.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of transactional experience with IP/tech deals, is licensed or eligible to practice in CA or WA, and demonstrates strong writing and analytical

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of transactional experience focusing on intellectual property and technology transactions.
• Currently licensed to practice law, or eligible to become licensed, in California or Washington.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills; ability to work independently.
• Preferred: AI or life sciences sector experience.
• Preferred: Privacy and data security experience.
• Preferred: Technical background in IT, CS, electrical engineering, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and analyze IT, IP, and tech agreements, including R&D, SaaS, procurement, and consulting agreements.
• Conduct legal research, writing, and analytical work on complex transactional matters.
• Work independently and creatively while collaborating successfully as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
