Description:

Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Chemistry Lab Supervisor to join our Clinical Lab team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical supervision and oversight for assigned departments.
• Ensure policies and procedures support quality outcomes.
• Implement new tests and systems following regulatory requirements.
• Fulfill supervisor responsibilities per CLIA and CAP standards.
• Oversee test methodology selection, quality control, and proficiency testing.
• Ensure patient results are reported only after corrective actions and system validation.
• Identify training needs, oversee staff competency, and participate in performance evaluations.
• Operate analyzers and assist with testing as needed.
• Address technical problems and ensure remedial actions are taken.

Requirements:

• BS in Medical Technology or related science required; Master’s degree preferred.
• MT (ASCP) certification or ASCP specialty certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
